Where Are The Entrances

Pedestrian entrances are located at:

  • Pennsylvania Avenue and 12th Street, NW
  • Constitution Avenue and 7th Street, NW
  • Indiana Avenue and 7th Street, NW

There will be NO access to the Rally from the East.

Where Are The Accessibility Drop Off Locations?

There is a designated vehicle drop point at the intersection of 7th Street and Maryland Street, SW.

Any other items that may pose a threat to the security of the event as determine by and at the discretion of the security screener.

Should I Bring My Family?

The decision to bring your child is a very personal one. There are very large crowds expected and parents should evaluate all risks and make decisions about what’s best for themselves and their children. Please check our tips page for some ideas.

Can I Bring A Banner?

Yes, banners and signs smaller than 20’ x 3’ x ¼” are welcome. We encourage wearable, foldable, and rollable banners and signs. Please do not mount signs on wood or metal sticks or posts as they will not be allowed in. Poles and posts will also not be allowed on the metro.

Can I Bring My Dog?

No, only service/guide animals are permitted at the Rally site.

Will There Be Bathrooms?

Yes, there will be regular and ADA accessible port-o-johns onsite.

What Will The Weather Be Like?

March weather in Washington, DC is variable. Wearing several layers of loose fitting, lightweight, clothing is better than wearing one layer of clothing. Consider the weather forecast when choosing clothes and shoes for your trip to Washington, DC.

Getting Around Washington, DC During March For Our Lives

Moving around Washington, DC during the March For Our Lives, especially near the National Mall and Capitol grounds, requires patience and a good pair of walking shoes. With hundreds of thousands of visitors attending the march, walking is the best mode of transportation.

What If I Get Lost?

Crowds for this event will be large, have a plan if you and your family, friends are separated. Reunification services are available at RFK stadium (2400 East Capitol Street, SE) and will operate on Saturday, March 24.

Where Can I Park?

If you are driving, here is a map of parking garages near the National Mall. Please don’t forget to consider any potential city traffic for this event and adjust your travel times accordingly. We recommend using public transportation and carpooling where possible. The last few stops of each metro line often have free parking available on weekends.

Where Can My Rideshare (Lyft/Uber/etc) Drop Me Off?

A designated rideshare drop off point will be located at the intersection of 7th Street and Maryland Street, SW. From this location event attendees will proceed north on 7th Street, across the National Mall to the entrance at 7th Street and Constitution Avenue, NW. There is another drop off point at the K St NW Access road.

I Am Arriving By Bus, Metro or MARC

How Do I Get To The March For Our Lives Rally By Bus?

Event attendees looking for a bus departing from their town should consult bus finding platforms from Rally Bus, Board Our Bus and Bus.com to join an existing bus, or start their own.

Buses should park at RFK Stadium and reserve a spot online here. Reservations cost $88.00 and each bus should bring a printout of the confirmation email with them to the lot. Groups traveling by bus should also confirm with their bus company that they have the correct permitting or plates to park in DC (most companies have this but please confirm). If your bus company needs a travel permit, please direct them to the DC Department of Motor Vehicles website.

Event attendees arriving at RFK Stadium should travel to the Washington Monument Grounds by Metro. RFK Stadium’s metro stop is called Stadium-Armory. A WMATA map can be found here. Event attendees should purchase their fare cards in advance to avoid waiting in long lines. Cards can be purchased in advance either at a Metro stop or various retail locations throughout DC, MD and VA which you can find on this map. Please find additional information about Metro here.

How Do I Get To The March For Our Lives Rally By Metro?

The closest Metro station to the start of the March For Our Lives Rally is Archives located on the Yellow and Green lines. Other nearby stops are Federal Triangle on the Blue, Orange and Silver lines and Gallery Place on the Red Line. Riders can find a full WMATA map here.

Every Metro rider (ages 5 and up) needs his or her own SmarTrip card. Avoid extremely long lines and unnecessary waiting by buying your fare in advance. Prepaid metrocards can be purchased in advance either at a Metro stop or various retail locations throughout DC, MD and VA which you can find on this map.

Metro will run rush-hour service levels throughout the day to accommodate expected crowds. The rail system will open at 7 a.m. Riders are encouraged to travel as early in the day as possible. Trains will depart end-of-line stations every 8 minutes, and additional Red Line trains will run between Grosvenor and Silver Spring. In Downtown DC, trains will arrive every 2-4 minutes. Travel light. To make more room for everyone, bicycles, large coolers and other oversized items will not be permitted on Metrorail on March 24.

Selected stations may be closed. Due to crowd management and/or security concerns, selected Metrorail stations may be closed on March 24. In addition, selected station entrances may be designated “entry only” or “exit only” at various times to help speed your trip. Details will be posted on this page and on WMATA social accounts @wmata and @metrorailinfo.
