Thirty people were killed over the weekend in two mass shootings. The first attack came Saturday in El Paso, Texas and another followed Sunday in Dayton, Ohio.

The March For Our Lives movement emerged after a 2018 high-school shooting in Parkland Florida. Catherine Broski directs the Arizona group which advocates for gun reform.

“At the end of the day, people are dying," she said. "People’s lives are being dramatically changed because of the lack of action from our lawmakers on this issue.”

She said although the bills her group lobbied for were not successful, they were able to help establish a school safety task force with the Arizona Department of Education.
